From our clients...
The following note by Judge Gene Schnelz
was written in response to a feature article on Robert Meisner
in the Detroit Free Press on February 10, 2008

Dear Bob,
I had clipped the article out, planning to
put it on my dart board.
But then I thought: it would not be fair to the darts.
Seriously, great article!
You really did see an opportunity for a niche and you
carved it out. I am
happy for you.

The following unsolicited e-mail was sent
to Mr. Meisner the day after he successfully argued on behalf of
a client's claims against their developer in a Michigan Circuit
Court. The Court ruled in favor of Mr. Meisner's clients that
the developer did indeed violate State law and/or duties owed to
the co-owners:
"I just wanted to thank you
again for your great performance yesterday. You brightened the
day (and the remaining years) of the Sr. citizens who were
behind us in the courtroom yesterday.
When Dennis and I got back to
the association, around 4PM yesterday, the group was still
celebrating. They had broken out the single malt scotch
and martinis with orange bitters!
Most of these folks are part of
what Tom Brokaw refers to as (and I truly believe is) "The
Greatest Generation." They came away from WWII with a very deep
and personal understanding of what fighting for what is right
really means. They have been the source of my will to continue
on in this battle. They .wouldn’t let me give up. Even if
nothing else comes of this case, you have renewed our belief in
the need to battle what is wrong in our world - be it local or
global.
Thank you,
Becky Van Alst
