– Meisner & Associates, P.C., announces the opening of its
branch office in Grand Rapids,
located at 1430
Monroe NW, Ste. 100, Grand Rapids, MI 49505.
Meisner
& Associates P.C., celebrating its 30th anniversary
on October 25th, is a law firm headquartered in
Bingham Farms, Michigan that concentrates in Community
Association Law. The firm represents condominium, subdivision,
cooperative communities and developers while performing a
variety of legal services, from drafting and amending the
community association documents in new and established
communities, to the everyday legal services required to keep the
community operating within the parameters of the community
association documents and the law. The firm assists with
assessment collection and foreclosure of the association lien,
bylaw infraction matters, construction defect litigation,
counseling and advising the board of directors, managers,
developers and much more.

ABOUT THE
ATTORNEYS
Robert M. Meisner
is the principal founding member of his AV rated firm (the
highest rating given to law firms by judges and lawyers)
concentrating in the area of community association, condominium
and real estate law, together with commercial and business
litigation and contract matters. Meisner is a nationally known
condominium attorney, columnist, and author
of the popular booklet entitled
Condominium Operation: Getting Started and Staying on the Right
Track 2nd edition and the highly acclaimed book
Condo Living, A Survival Guide to Buying, Owning and Selling
a Condominium. Meisner is also an adjunct professor
of Community Association Law at Michigan State University
College of Law and Cooley Law School with more than 25 years of
experience conducting seminars and classes involving condominium
law. As a writer, Meisner has been a
featured columnist in the Observer and Eccentric Newspapers, as
well as other newspapers and magazines throughout Michigan
including the Detroit News, Traverse City Record Eagle,

David
S. Keast is a senior associate attorney with the firm of
Meisner & Associates, P.C. Keast is the former General Counsel
of Crosswinds Communities, Inc. of Novi, Michigan, a leading
residential developer and home builder located in Novi,
Michigan. He is also the former Deputy General Counsel of
Michigan National Corporation, the Farmington Hills,
Michigan-based parent of Michigan National Bank. Keast is a
1974 graduate of the University of Michigan Law School and a
1971 graduate of Michigan State University.
Jennifer Cordon Thor
is an associate attorney with Meisner & Associates, P.C. Thor
is a former Michigan Court of Appeals pre-hearing attorney and a
former research attorney for the 19th District Court
in Dearborn, Michigan. She is also a former staff attorney with
the UAW-GM Legal Services Plan. Thor currently serves as
Secretary of the City of Westland Brownfield Redevelopment
Authority. Thor was also a 2006 candidate for judge in the 18th
District Court in Westland, Michigan. Thor graduated cum
laude from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law in
1995 where she also served as a title editor on the Law Review.
She is also a 1992 graduate of James Madison College at Michigan
State University.
Jan
Dunn is an
associate attorney with Meisner & Associates, P.C. Dunn has
been involved in a family real estate development business and
supervised the development of two condominium projects as well
as the property management of several apartment complexes. She
has a builder license and received certification from the BIA
for property management. Dunn was formerly in house counsel to
Bradford Companies in Illinois with her primary area of practice
being commercial leasing. She was formerly in private practice
in real estate law in both Texas and Illinois. Dunn clerked for
Justice James L. Ryan on the Michigan Supreme Court. Dunn
graduated magna cum laude from the University of Michigan
Law School in 1979.
Daniel Feinberg is
an associate attorney with Meisner & Associates, P.C. Mr.
Feinberg has a wide range of experience, having worked at such
diverse firms as Honingman Miller Schwartz & Cohn and the Legal
Aid & Defender Association. He graduated cum
laude in 1985 from the Detroit College of Law and he and
received his undergraduate degree from Michigan State University
in 1979.
Corene Ford is an
associate attorney with Meisner & Associates, P.C. Ms. Ford was
formerly a research law clerk in the Judicial Assistant’s Office
of the Michigan Third Judicial Circuit Court. She is also a
former associate at an insurance defense firm where she was part
of the research and writing department. Ms. Ford obtained her
law degree, as well as a Master of Studies in Environmental Law,
and graduated cum laude in 2003 from Vermont Law School
where she served as a note editor on the Law Review. She earned
her undergraduate degree from Eastern Michigan University in
1999.
Kristina Janssens
is an associate attorney with Meisner & Associates, P.C. Ms.
Janssens attended Wayne State University Law School where she
graduated in 2006. During law school, Ms. Janssens was an
intern at the Michigan Court of Appeals and was a law clerk at
Meisner & Associates, P.C. She earned her undergraduate degree
in marketing from Michigan State University in 2001.
