Robert
M. Meisner, Esquire
Robert M. Meisner is
the principal founding member of his AV rated firm (the
highest rating given to law firms by judges and lawyers)
concentrating in area of community association, condominium
and real estate law, together with commercial and business
litigation and contract matters.
Mr. Meisner was the first lawyer in Michigan, and is among
the relatively select few attorneys in the country, who has
been inducted into the College of Community Association
Lawyers sponsored by the Community Association Institute, a
national organization devoted to enhanced community
association governance operation.
Mr. Meisner holds a bachelors degree and law degree from the
University of Michigan, where he was inducted into the Phi
Kappa Phi Honor Society. He is a member of the State Bar of
Michigan, as well as the Detroit, Oakland County and
American Bar Associations.
Mr. Meisner was a co-draftsperson of the 1978 Michigan
Condominium Act and has authored changes to the 1978 Condo
Act enacted in 2001. He has also served as general legal
counsel to the United Condominium Owners of Michigan (UCOM)
since its inception in 1973. UCOM is a statewide non-profit
organization dedicated to educating and assisting
condominium associations. Mr. Meisner has also served on the
Committee on Leases, Cooperatives and Condominiums of the
Real Property Law Section of the State Bar of Michigan, the
Uniform Planned Community Act Subcommittee of the Real
Property, Probate and Trust Law Section, the Committee on
Condominiums, Cooperatives and Homeowner Associations for
the American Bar Association, the Condominium Committee of
the Building Industry of Southeastern Michigan and the
Community Association Institute (CAI). He has served as a
board member of the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of
Commerce for ten (10) years. In the beginning years before
starting his own practice, Mr. Meisner worked for several
prominent law firms and served as a pre-hearing attorney for
the Michigan Court of Appeals.
Mr. Meisner authors the "Real Estate Queries" column for the
13 Observer& Eccentric newspapers and has authored many
articles for both UCOM and CAI. He has been a guest speaker
on condominium matters throughout the country for such
organizations as the Community Association Institute, the
Institute for the Continuing Legal Education in Michigan,
the United Condominium Owners of Michigan, Northwestern
Michigan College, Grand Valley State University Central
Michigan University and has appeared on various radio and TV
programs. In February, 2003, He was a guest speaker on "The
Handyman Show" with Glenn Haege. He has taught at Oakland
University, Wayne State University and Oakland Community
College for over 25 years.
Mr. Meisner serves as a case evaluator for Oakland, Wayne
and Macomb County Circuit Courts.
Mr. Meisner has also been trained and certified to act as a
facilitative mediator for the Oakland County Circuit Court.
Recently, Mr. Meisner is an adjunct Professor for the
Michigan State University College of Law and
teaches a Law School course on Condominium Law.

Jennifer Cordon Thor,
Attorney at Law
Jennifer Cordon Thor is an associate
attorney with Meisner & Associates, P.C. where she
concentrates her practice on condominium law and
practice, general real estate law, and litigation.
Ms. Thor is a former Michigan Court of Appeals
Pre-hearing Attorney and a former research attorney
for the 19th District Court in Dearborn, Michigan.
She is also a former staff attorney with the UAW-GM
Legal Services Plan. Ms. Thor attended the
University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where she
served as a title editor on the Law Review and where
she graduated cum laude in 1995.
She earned her undergraduate degree from James
Madison College at Michigan State University in
1992. Ms. Thor currently serves as Secretary
of the City of Westland Brownfield Redevelopment
Authority. Ms. Thor is a member of the State
Bar of Michigan and is
admitted to practice before the United States
District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan.

Jan Dunn,
Attorney at Law
Jan Dunn is an
associate attorney with Meisner & Associates, P.C.
Dunn has been involved in a family real estate
development business and supervised the development
of two condominium projects as well as the property
management of several apartment complexes. She has a
builder license and received certification from the
BIA for property management. Dunn was formerly in
house counsel to Bradford Companies in Illinois with
her primary area of practice being commercial
leasing. She was formerly in private practice in
real estate law in both Texas and Illinois. Dunn
clerked for Justice James L. Ryan on the Michigan
Supreme Court. Dunn graduated magna cum laude from
the University of Michigan Law School in 1979.

Daniel Feinberg,
Esquire
Daniel Feinberg is an
associate attorney with Meisner & Associates, P.C.
Mr. Feinberg has a wide range of experience, having
worked at such diverse firms as Honingman, Miller,
Schwartz & Cohn and the Legal Aid & Defender
Association. He graduated cum laude in 1985 from the
Detroit College of Law and he received his
undergraduate degree from Michigan State University
in 1979.

Brian
Harris, Esquire
Brian Harris is an
associate attorney with Meisner & Associates, P.C.
Mr. Harris is a 2003
Cum Laude graduate of the
University of Detroit Mercy School of Law where he served as Executive
Inside Articles Editor of the Law Review, a Member of the
Moot Court Board of Directors, and Editor-In-Chief of the
school newspaper. Mr. Harris was the recipient of the
2003 Ford Motor Company Leadership Award for his leadership
role at the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law. He has a wide range of
experience in litigation matters including handling all
aspects of appeals. He focuses his practice with
Meisner & Associates in the areas of condominium and general

Teresa
L. Duddles, Legal Assistant
Teresa L. Duddles has been associated with Meisner &
Associates, P.C. for over 15 years. She obtained her
Bachelor of Arts Degree from Michigan State University,
College of Social Science, School of Criminal Justice in
1985 and was awarded an American Bar Association approved
Legal Assistant Certificate from Lansing Community College
in 1989, graduating in the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor
Fraternity. Ms. Duddles is a member of the Legal Assistants
section of the State Bar of Michigan and was elected into a
two (2) year term as a council member for the section. Ms. Duddles concentrates in the area of
Condominium/Community Association assessments collection
including lien, litigation and foreclosure,
condominium/community association bylaw enforcement,
critiquing and assisting in the preparation of condominium
documents, condominium document amendments, drafting of
Rules and Regulations for Associations, and is accomplished
with regard to intricacies of the Fair Debt Collection
Practices Act. Ms. Duddles also has concentrated her time in
Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 Bankruptcy filings as they relate
to Condominium/Community Associations.

Katherine Michael, Legal Assistant
M. Katherine Michael is a practicing legal assistant of 23
years of which she has been associated with Meisner &
Associates, P.C. for over 20 years. Ms. Michael
achieved an American Bar Association approved Legal
Assistant Certificate from Oakland University in 1982. She
has served as Vice President and Regional Director of the
Legal Assistants Association of Michigan (LAAM) and is a
member of the legal assistants section of the State Bar of
Michigan. Ms. Michael concentrates her time in the
development of new condominiums (both site and traditional),
conversion condominiums, new subdivision development, from
inception through turnover of control; drafting and amending
master deeds, bylaws, declarations, and other community
association documents, and performs other community
association legal work. Ms. Michael has co-authored
articles on condominium operation, also co-authoring the
popular Booklet: Condominium Operation: Getting Started and
Staying on The Right Track, and has widely lectured on
condominium and community association topics in Southeastern
Michigan.

Labadie, Legal Assistant
Deb
Labadie has been a practicing legal assistant for
six years with Meisner and Associates. Ms. Labadie
concentrates her time in the area of liens,
assessment collection, bankruptcy, and file
management, as well as other community association
legal work
